Each quarter, Taylor Police Officers set time aside to meet informally with citizens over coffee at a different location in Taylor. "Coffee With a Cop" started in January 2018, and has been held twice this year. The next gathering is set for Wednesday, October 17, at Mariachi de Jalisco, 3100 N. Main St. from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Food costs are extra, but the coffee is on the house.
Citizens are asked to bring any questions they would like to discuss with members of the Taylor Police Department. The public can drop in any time during the scheduled hours and stay as long as one desires. Other city staff and/or Council Members will attend on a drop-in basis. City information will be available, such as the City of Taylor annual report or schedules of Taylor Library activities.
